The Explore option on the main screen provides several options, with the most important being the way to move your character to different areas and progress through the game.
The EXPLORE windows includes :
Explorable Areas[]
This is the main body of the game, with you choosing which area to put your character in to kill enemies. Each 'area' is split in to 8 sub-areas, all following the same theme in both design and enemy spawning.
Players start at area 1, sub-area 1 (commonly referred to as 1-1) and then progress through 3 waves of enemies to unlock area 1-2. The game then follows this pattern, with players killing through waves of enemies to unlock the next sub area, up to sub area 8 (x-8).
The next main area will unlock, although usually before you complete every sub-area. The table below will detail the unlock per sub-area.
Upon completing every sub-area in an area (passing x-8) other than 8-8 a Challenge will unlock. 5-4 also unlocks a challenge.
Each sub-area will have missions to complete, with certain criteria to meet to complete mission. Each mission will reward Epic Coins, to be spent in the Epic Shop, and provide a tallying bonus towards your mission milestone, explained further along on this page.
Each subarea also has it's own 'Mastery Bonus', which improves various factors based on how many times you have cleared a subarea in total.
